The Human Rights Committee, which is one of the historic committees of Justícia i Pau, it currently consists of a group of volunteers which prepares and sends denunciation, protest and concerned letters about cases of human rights violations all around the world, people disappearances, arbitrary detentions, aggressions... From the informations we receive from the World Organisation Against Torture, Amnesty International and other NGO’s of wide renown and international prestige, the volunteers write the letters that, later, will be sent to different governmental institutions of the countries where those facts occured (ministers, public prosecutors, human rights defenders...) and to their diplomatic offices in Spain. By sending these letters, we try to put pressure on the governments involved in order to make them modify some decisions or policies, take measures to protect people or stop or prevent actions against human rights.
